Porsche has just improved the latest version of its Porsche 911 GT3 race car. The 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 R race car is a bit more powerful along with better handling to make lap times lower and speeds higher.

The 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 R now is producing 500 horsepower, which is about 20 horsepower more than previous model. Along with the power improvement, Porsche has improved on the driving control by adding a softer anti-roll bar to help reduce under steering, new paddle shifters have been placed on the steering wheel, and updated transmission program for an automatic throttle blip on downshifts to help not miss a gear and over-rev the engine.

In case if you decided to order one to race in the GT3 Cup division, expect to folk down about 304,500 Euros ($433,000 USD) for the 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 R race car, and delivery of the car is expect to start in November of this year. Porsche also offers an upgrade kit for this GT3 race car as well, and it will cost you another 43,000 Euros (around $61,000 USD).

Expect to see the 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 R race car to go against with other GT3 cars like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW and Nissan.
