Audi has released a batch of computer enhanced images of the new A2 Concept that is bound for Frankfurt Motor Show next week. While details of the Audi A2 Concept remains scarce, it is expected that Audi will offer the A2 with both electric and conventional powerplants. For certainly that the Audi A2 Concept will use an 85kW electric motor to drive the front wheels through a single-speed transmission. The motor provides about 114 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. The Audi A2 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 9 seconds and with a limited top speed of 93 mph.

Energy is provided by a lithium-ion battery pack for up to 125 miles of driving range. When battery is low, charging the lithium-ion battery pack will take about four hours on a 240-volt AC outlet.

Size wise, the Audi A2 Concept is measured at 12.47 ft long and 5.54 ft wide. A lot of aluminum and carbon fiber materials are used to keep the weight down to about 2,535 pound.
