Croatian manufacturer Rimac Automobili has unveiled new teaser photos of the Rimac Automobili Concept One electric supercar. The Rimac Automobili Concept One electric supercar is said to boast 1,088 horsepower, and we are just wondering how long the battery will last with that monstrous power output.
The Rimac Automobili Concept One electric supercar is an all-electric car. It is powered by four electric motors with each motor on each wheel driven independently. The result power is a massive 1,088 horsepower with 2800 pound-feet of instantaneous torque.
With so much horsepower, much of the car’s weight is due to the battery pack. The Rimac Automobili Concept One electric supercar weighs in at about 3,630 pounds, but that doesn’t stop it to clock in at 2.8 seconds on a 0-62 mph acceleration. Top speed for this super electric is at 190 mph.
Even with the massive horsepower, the Rimac Automobili Concept One electric supercar has enough juice to travel up to 373 miles on its 92kWh battery pack.
The Rimac Automobili Concept One electric supercar will go on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 13th, and we’ll have more details and photos on this electric supercar.
Rimac Concept One just made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show today. Rimac engineers built a very unique powertrain called the All Wheel Torque Vectoring, which has four sub-systems with each consists of a motor, inverter and reduction gearbox. Each of those systems drives a wheel alone.
“I believe that the electric motor is a much better machine compared to the ICE, in almost all aspects, especially for a sports car,” said Mate Rimac, the CEO of Rimac Automobili.
Rimac plans to deliver about 88 units of the Concept One by 2013. In the meantime, check out new photos in the above.
