Maserati has been touting with a SUV model for the past years, and today, the company officially released of the Maserati Kubang SUV at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Maserati didn’t release much details on the Kubang SUV, but it is believed to use the same platform architecture as the latest Jeep Grand Cherokee and with the underpinnings of the new Mercedes-Benz ML.
According to Maserati, the Kubang’s “style, engine, suspensions, brakes, handling and performance will all be 100% Maserati in picture-perfect continuity with the brand’s core values of sportiness, style, elegance, luxury, performance and craftsmanship.” Maserati will use a new engine designed in Modena by Paolo Martinelli, and the engine is expected to mate with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Maserati plans to compete the Kubang SUV with the likes of Porsche and BMW SUVs. More details of the Maserati Kubang SUV will be coming after the debut.
