Carlsson CK63 RS Mercedes CLS 63 AMG huffs out 649 horsepower

Carlsson has finally presented its new tuned CK63 RS at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show this week. The Carlsson CK63 RS is based on the new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG . Rather than distorting the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG by overly modifying the exterior, Carlsson tuner emphasized on the elegance and sportiness of the design with a few subtle changes.

In the exterior styling, the Carlsson’s Performance Package for the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG includes a new aerodynamic aerodynamic lip spoiler, a rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, and LED fog lamps.

Under the hood, Carlsson has tuned the 5.5 V8 twin-turbocharged engine to 649 horsepower (from 557 hp) and 664 lb-ft of torque (from 590 lb-ft). Carlsson claims that the CK63 RS Mercedes CLS 63 AMG can sprint from 0-62 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

Power to the pavement is provided with a set of 20-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the Carlsson CK63 RS Mercedes CLS 63 AMG has been lowered to 1.2 inches all around with the C-Tronic suspension to provide a more stable ride at high speeds. Customers can also choose an optional leather upholstery package to enhance the sportiness of the car.

No pricing is set yet for the Carlsson CK63 RS Mercedes CLS 63 AMG, but we assume that the Carlsson’s Performance Package would be around $20,000 on top of the car’s price.
