The new 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is faster than the outgoing model, and just to show how fast it is, Porsche challenged it at the Nurburgring track to prove its point.
At the Nurburgring track, the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S made a run of 7:40 time, which is about 13 seconds faster around the outgoing model.
According to Porsche, the new time record for 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is achieved by using only a 20mm lower sports suspension and regular tires. With a time of 7:40, the 2012 911 matches the time set by the previous Porsche 911 GT3. This means that the next-generation GT3 should be much faster to beat the 7:40 time. So hold on to your pants, because we will have more news on the next-generation GT3 coming soon.
