Lotus has unveiled its most powerful Lotus road car ever built from the company called the Lotus Evora GTE. Not only the Lotus Evora GTE has an aggressively styling, it also sports a more powerful engine as well.
The new Lotus Evora GTE is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine making 444 horsepower, and placed on a light weight body construction. The supercharged V6 engine is mated to a new sequential AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) racing transmission. The result is a fast-shifting and low power-to-weight ratio advantage for this extreme sports car.
The Lotus Evora GTE is in a limited production run of 114 cars for the Chinese market, which all cars had sold out within a few days. We hope that the Chinese roads are up to the task of this sports car.
“Originally created as a special limited edition for the Asian market and designed to celebrate Lotus’ successful entry to the new global motorsport GTE category, the hand built Lotus Evora GTE road car has all the attributes you’d expect of an endurance racer including a sequential AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) racing gearbox and lightweight and forged alloy rims with centre lock hubs shod with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires,” Lotus said in a statement.
In response to the demand, production of the Lotus Evora GTE will be expanded in other markets as well.
According to Group Lotus CEO Dany Bahar, “In response we decided that the only logical step from a business perspective was to increase production and widen our reach. What is unique about this car, is not just that it’s a serious race car – it’s a serious car. People get so excited when they see and especially hear it for the first time. It’s a very special car and will appeal to a very special type of driver – and they won’t be disappointed!”
