The Porsche 911 Turbo is fast, but not fast enough for Techart tuner of Germany. The German aftermarket company is turning up the heat on the Porsche 911 with a more powerful performance package.
The TA 097/T3 performance package for the Porsche 911 Turbo (977 series) includes a new sport air filter, new manifolds, the TECHART Turbo chargers VTG, high performance intercoolers along with an ECU upgrade and carbon-fibre styling parts for the engine.
As a result of the engine modification, the Techart Porsche 911 Turbo now pushes out a staggering 700 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque from the 3.8-liter flat-six cylinder engine. In comparison, the Porsche 911 Turbo in factory form produces about 500 hp and 488 lb-ft of torque.
With so much power under the hood, Techart claims that the modified Porsche 911 Turbo can burst from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and with a top speed of 219 mph. In comparison, the new $1 million-plus Bugatti Veyron can achieve a “0-60 mph” time in about 2.5 seconds.
Techart has not released pricing for the package yet, and it would interesting to know how much it would cost to get the modified Porsche 911 Turbo to go this fast.
