2014 Chevrolet Corvette caught testing in public road

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette was caught testing in public road for the first time, but the new model seems relative the same as the current model with a few minor exterior changes that we can tell. Both the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette coupe and convertible were out testing in full force.

From the buzz, we thought that the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette would be drastically different, but these new spy photos had just deflated our excitement. Initially, we thought the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will be more compact and carry a smaller engine to cater to younger customers, which GM’s chief designer, Ed Welburn had pointed out previously of the future path for the Corvette. And these new spy photos tell the differ.

Even though these 2014 Chevrolet Corvette prototypes caught wearing the C6 body revealed that it will be shorter and narrower than the current car, we would like to see a new exterior design as well. The current design is so 90’s. Hopefully, the body design of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will change by 2013. We will keep our fingers crossed till then.

The new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is expected to carry a 5.5-liter V8 engine with direct injection and variable valve timing, which is expected to produce about 440 horsepower. The engine will also be available with a new seven-speed manual transmission to improve performance and fuel efficiency.

The new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette sports car will be built in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and it is expected to be be launched in 2013 as the 2014 model.
