The new Toyota Prius C will be joining the Toyota Prii hybrid family very soon. It will be launched together with the Toyota Prius V and the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid in spring 2012, and today, we got a leaked JDM market brochure showing the new Toyota Prius C hybrid model.
From the leaked Japanese market brochure, the Toyota Prius C hybrid car will be available in three trim levels of G, S and L. As we can see, each trim level gets its own seating material made. From what we can tell, the seats come in suede, cloth and some type of perforate material. The Japanese market brochures also states that the new Toyota Prius C hybrid car is measured at about 157.3 inches long, 66.7 inches wide and 56.9 inches tall.
In addition to the exterior and interior details, the brochure also states that the Toyota Prius C hybrid car will be powered by a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing 74 horsepower and 82 lb-ft of torque, and it is couple with an electric-motor that produces another 61 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque. The combined power output resulted in 100 horsepower for the hybrid system. The hybrid powertrain system is mated to a CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission).
Toyota has many variants to the Prii hybrid family, and the addition of the sporty Toyota Prius C hybrid car will surely attract younger customers to the hybrid car scene.
