The Lexus LFA supercar is a marvel of engineering from Toyota. It is modern and refined as silk and sharp as a razor blade. The supercar has been in development since year 2000, and Lexus finally introduced in 2005 in at the Detroit Motor Show. Lexus has now released a video documenting the development of the LFA supercar.

The Lexus LFA supercar is built on a carbon fiber chassis and fitted with a V10 engine to produce 562 horsepower, which translates to a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds. In addition, the supercar hit the Nurburgring with record lap time of 7:14.64, which is the fastest lap time for any production supercar.

But of course, the Lexus LFA’s success didn’t achieve overnight. Through more than a decade of extensive testing and designing, the Lexus LFA has been fine tuned to what it is now today. Check out the video for a short documentary in the development of the supercar, and the people behind its inspiration.
