There have been an on-going of images leaked on the Toyota FT-86 production model since last week through the company’s tuning Modellista aftermarket division. And now we have another leak in form of a training manual for the new compact sports car.
The leaked training manual gives us more information on the specs and options of the Toyota FT-86 production model, or shall we say the Scion FR-S that will be sold in the U.S. The training manual shows that the Scion FR-S will be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine producing 197 horespower at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 150 pound-feet at 6,600 rpm. The training manual also reveals that the Toyota FT-86/Scion FR-S will be available with either a 6-speed manual as standard and an optional 6-speed automatic.
The Toyota FT-86/Scion FR-S is weighed in at 2,662 pounds, and will be available in two trim levels. The base model will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission featuring a limited-slip differential, while the higher-end model will be available in both manual and automatic transmissions, and featuring a limited-slip rear differential as well.
Other upgrade components for the higher-end Toyota FT-86/Scion FR-S model include leather seats and steering wheel, LED accent lighting, a 6-speaker audio system, aluminum sport pedals, white-lighted gauges and bigger 17-inch alloy wheels.
