Subaru BRZ STI Concept with first official photos

The highly anticipated Subaru BRZ compact sports car finally got some skin on. We’ve seen the Subaru BRZ in a glass shell and through some camouflage photos, but just today, the company has released full imagery of what to expect of the new Subaru BRZ. No need for imagination anymore.

The Subaru BRZ compact sports car is expected to make its debut at the upcoming 2011 LA Auto Show, and we expect it to have some sort of skin on, not like the last time with a glass shell.

Unlike many Subaru vehicles that are based on a four-wheel drive system, the new Subaru BRZ will have a rear-wheel drive only. Power for the car is expected to be provided by the new 2.0-liter boxer engine producing 200 horsepower, and at this time, Subaru hasn’t mentioned of a turbo version yet. That would be a shame indeed.

And like many compact sports car, the new Subaru BRZ STI Concept is designed to be lightweight, which combined with STI-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes and unique 18-inch wheels and tires to provide razor-sharp and agile handling.

With the new Subaru BRZ STI Concept coming to the LA Auto Show in two weeks from now, this will also be the first time that we get to see the interior design. We’ll catch more photos for you, so stay tuned.
