2012 Honda Civic Euro in full details

The 2012 Honda Civic Euro is a bit different from the U.S. version. Honda has been working on this model for almost two years already, and today, the company has released full imagery and details of the car for the European market.

We have seen many video clips and photo of the new 2012 Honda Civic Euro in camouflage, but today, we get to see its production form. So what exactly makes Honda to produce a different version for Europe? Simply, the European has a different taste that encompassed a sportier characteristic and a bolder look.

At a glance, the new 2012 Honda Civic Euro is a five-door version. It is lower and with wider look in the front area. The car is 20mm lower and 10mm wider than the current model, with a styling that directs at sporty and futuristic characteristics while still provides a sense of practicality; as we see in the wheel arches that have been designed to flow out more fluidly from the body surface to give the new Civic a clean and elegant look.

Of course, Honda also redesigned the interior as well for the 2012 Honda Civic Euro. The current cockpit of the Honda Civic is futuristic and roomy, so Honda only refined the feel and look of interior of the car to make it more comfortable and relax when driving. The new cockpit has two control zones which separate the control areas known as the Information Interface zone and the Driver Interface zone. The Driving Interface zone is area in front of the driver, while the Information Interface zone positioned closer to the centre of the dash for both passengers and driver. The Information Interface zone has information devices such as audio and navigation system, heater and A/C controls within the reach of both the driver and the passenger.

As for power, the new 2012 Honda Civic Euro will be available in three different engines, with two gasoline engines and one diesel engine. The two gasoline engines will come as a 1.4-liter and 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines, with 99 horsepower and 140 horsepower, respectively. While top-end is a 2.2-liter engine diesel engine producing 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
