The world of sport sedans has it that Toyota is planning to go heads up against the BMW M3 with its new Lexus IS F. Toyota believes that new Lexus IS F has developed well enough throughout the years that it seems like the time is ripe for the picking to take on the BMW M3 sedan . With that, the company’s Toyota Racing Development (TRD) team has created the a sportier version called the Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport sedan.
With a name like the Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport sedan, you know for sure that this sport sedan is ready for the track. We know that the production model Lexus IS F is already fast, and we expect the that Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport to be faster. Is Toyota ready to seal the BMW M3 GTS’s faith? Well, we doubt it.
The new Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport sedan is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 416 horsepower, which is the same found on the Lexus IS F production model. But TRD also improved the performance on the Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport Package with a new limited-slip differential and braking kit. So instead injecting more power to the car, TRD focused on weight reduction to the Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport sedan. In addition, TRD also enhanced its acceleration and cornering by revising the suspension system.
In the exterior, the Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport sedan is fitted with a new front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, hood, and large rear wing, all of which are of carbon fiber. In addition, TRD added a performance damper kit, which comes with two separate settings featuring independently adjustable compression. To round out the weight reduction program, the Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport sedan is also equipped with lightweight forged aluminum wheels.
Like most TRD cars, the Lexus IS F Circuit Club Sport sedan can be bought of the lot as a whole car or just a performance package for the Lexus IS. So far, Toyota hasn’t released information on how much the package will cost or when it will be available, but we are pretty sure a lot of Lexus IS enthusiasts are anxious to get their hands on this performance package.
