Lexus today has finally decided to release its first official images of the new LF-LC 2+2 sports coupe, which will fully unveil at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show on January 9, 2012.
From what we can tell in these photos that the new Lexus LF-LC sports car is pretty much based on the two-seater LFA supercar, but according to Lexus, it is “crafted from a clean sheet of paper.”
“Crafted from a clean sheet of paper at the request of Lexus headquarters in Japan, the LF-LC blends both high technology and organic shapes to connect the driver to the machine,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “The clean lines of the vehicle emphasize motion, creating a distinctive look for this futuristic sport coupe.”
At any rate, the new Lexus LF-LC sports car looks modern and futuristic just like its sibling, but will it carry the same performance as the Lexus LFA supercar? The Lexus LF-LC sports car is designed at the Calty design studio in Newport Beach, California, and perhaps, it one day will take on the Ferrari four-seater. As for now, we will have to wait next month to see more details about this new sports car.
