About 8,789 units of the 2010-2011 year model Cadillac SRX crossovers have been recalled due to faulty transmission cables. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these 2010-2011 Cadillac SRX crossovers have improperly fitted transmission shift cable.
The result of the faulty transmission cables in the 2010-2011 Cadillac SRX crossovers could cause the cable popping out of the transmission bracket. If such an incident occurs, the transmission will not shift. In other cases, the vehicles seems like it is in a “Park” mode, but isn’t so. This could potential cause a roll away when parked on a hill or at an incline.
Affected owners of the 2010-2011 Cadillac SRX can bring their vehicles to any Cadillac dealership for an inspection and repair. Cadillac will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles by next month.
