Passion stirred when Mercedes-Benz unleashed its new SL model last year. While there are hundreds of after market kits already made for the Mercedes-Benz SL, but none as dramatic and aesthetically good looking than the Veilside’s body kit that we’ve seen so far. Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we reserve that to your liken.
If you are into the aftermarket scene, you’ve probably heard of Veilside, the aftermarket tuner who is known for its radical body kits on the late Toyota Supra and Mazda RX-7.
This time around, Veilside has taken its attention to the new Mercedes-Benz SL, which the tuning company introduces a whole new body kit that takes the Mercedes-Benz SL to a whole new look; sort of closer to the look of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series.
The body conversion kit for the Mercedes-Benz SL consists of carbon fiber of new hood, fenders, new bumpers front and rear, side skirts, and spoiler. As you can see the above pictures, the carbon fibre material provides a great contrast to the bright exterior color of the Mercedes-Benz SL. And to even make the Mercedes-Benz SL closer to the SL65 AMG Black Series, Veilside even named it the Black Fortune.
Unfortunately, the body conversion kit from Veilside is not cheap and only 300 units be available. It will cost about $30,000 a piece, and that is something not many mainstream enthusiasts have in the pocket.
Hopefully, some other aftermarket manufacturers will come out with another similar body kit, but with a lower price tag.
