A look at the new 2013 Ford B-MAX ahead of Geneva show

Ford will be presenting the new 2013 Ford B-MAX at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in April, and so far, we got just a few images of it. The 2013 Ford B-MAX is a compact MPV which Ford plans to have it go head-to-head with the Mazda MPV.

From what we can tell, the new  2013 Ford B-MAX is uniquely designed with new technological advances, just like the Ford Focus. Power for the 2013 Ford B-MAX will be provided by a 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine along with a Duratorq TDCi diesel engine as well.

“The B-MAX combines an exciting, innovative design with features that only previously have been found in bigger cars,” said Stephen Odell, chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe. “It’s a brand new car that responds to the needs of an increasing number of customers who want much more from their small cars.”

The 2013 Ford B-MAX will be initially available in Europe later this year, and we’re not sure if it will be available in the U.S. Like all things in life, things go where there is a demand for it.

Wish that will be available in the U.S. It would be a great car for me as a college student.

These Euro-names are not aesthetically pleasing. Adding “Max” to a tiny car feels like they’re compensating for something. Why not just call it a Focus and add it to that line? Otherwise I think it’ll just cause confusion when trying to choose which econo-Ford to buy.
