2012 Hyundai Azera is priced at $32,000

The new 2012 Hyundai Azera is based similarly to the Hyundai Sonata, and at a glance, you could mistaken for it as well. Not only that, it is pricey as well, which starts at around $32,000.

The 2012 Hyundai Azera is a full-size sedan with a front-wheel drive system, which is slotted between the Sonata and the Genesis Sedan. It is a bit larger than the Sonata, and so is the price. The 2012 Hyundai Azera is powered by the same 333-hp 3.8-liter V6 as the Genesis Sedan, but no four-cylinder engine offering.

At a starting price at around $32,000 (not including the $875 destination charge), the newly redesigned full-size sedan is awfully pricey compared to the previous year model, which was at just $25,495. In the 2012 Hyundai Azera base model, it comes with luxury equipment such as a touch-screen navigation system, a back-up camera, leather seating and a panoramic sunroof. And if you are planning to add a Tech Package, it will cost you an additional $4,000.

The 2012 Hyundai Azera will go on sale this spring in the U.S.

Wow, $32,000 for a starting price on this one. I guess the luxury standard equipment makes up the added cost. Maybe Hyundai should leave that as optional for buyers instead as part of the package.
