Bugatti is presenting its latest speedster called the Super Grand Sport Vitesse. As the name implied,”Vitesse” stands for “speed” in French. This latest Super Grand Sport Vitesse is the combination of the best luxury and speed worlds together.
As you may recall, the Super Sports is the fastest and most powerful production car in the world, which holds the current world speed record of 267.81 mph. And Bugatti has combined it with the luxury, targa top of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. The result is the new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, which let you go faster with your hair in wind at the same time.
“The rapid success of the Super Sport convinced us to increase the performance of the Bugatti roadster. Once again our engineers worked hard to demonstrate that Bugatti is able to constantly redefine the boundaries of what is technically feasible,” reveals Bugatti President Wolfgang Dürheimer. “We gave our all to transfer the achievements of the Super Sport over to the Grand Sport, thereby turning open-top driving itself into an extraordinary experience at high speed.”
Just as expected, the new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is powered by a 16-cylinder engine along with four turbochargers and ten radiators attached to it. The turbocharged engine produces about 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful production roadster in the world. And no doubt about it, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse will be the fastest as well.
We haven’t got the performance-run numbers from this luxury beast yet, but we’ll find out soon when the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse makes its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks from now. So stay tuned, we’ll have more juicy details coming. In the meantime, you can salivate on the photos above or just save it as your desktop screen if you wish.
