Remember the Infinity Essence? Well, it just got more sexier and outfitted with a hybrid powertrain. There have been talks of a hybrid powertrain for the Infinity Essence in the past, but now Infinity has just revealed its a new version of it called the Infinity Emerge-E.
The Infiniti Emerg-E will make its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show early next month, and today the company has released a few photos of what its new supercar will be like. From what we know so far, the Infiniti Emerg-E will have a mid-engined, extended-range electric powertrain, which comprises of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine. .
Much of the looks of the Infiniti Emerg-E is based on the Infinity Essence that was debuted in 2008. We see a lot of resembling to the Infiniti Essence, such as the curvatures, bulging fenders and wide front air vent. Overall, the Infiniti Emerg-E looks dynamically sharp of a supercar.
If produced, the Infiniti Emerg-E will compete with the likes of Lexus LF and Ferrari cars. Stay tuned, we’ll have more information when the Infiniti Emerg-E debuts at the Geneva Motor Show.
