We know that Europeans like their station wagons more than the United States, and Hyundai is banking on this emotion to let loose the new 2013 Hyundai i30 wagon for the European market. The new 2013 Hyundai i30 wagon will make its debut at the 2012 Geneva Show in just a few weeks.
The 2013 Hyundai i30 wagon is based on the i30 5-door hatchback, but it is extended a bit for the C-segment classification as a station wagon for more cargo space. The new 2013 Hyundai i3o wagon now has an overall length increased by 7.2 inches to 176.5 inches, which increased the trunk space from 13.34 cubic feet to 18.6 cubic feet. With the rear seats folded down, its cargo space can reach up to 58 cubic feet.
“The New Generation i30 has been widely praised for its style, quality, and value,” said Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe. “Our new wagon offers all of those attributes plus even greater load-carrying capacity. We expect it to appeal strongly to those looking for stylish and flexible practicality, especially active families.”
As for the power department, the 2013 Hyundai i30 wagon is available with three gasoline and three diesel engines, and its power output ranging from 93-hp to 133-hp.
We don’t expect the new 2013 Hyundai i30 station wagon to be available in the U.S. anytime soon, but from experience, Hyundai will likely bring it to the States if it does well in Europe.
