General Motors has just unveiled its latest refresher of the 2013 Terrain Denali SUV. In addition to a revised look, the new SUV also gets a more efficient 3.6-liter V6 engine as well.
From the look of the exterior of the new 2013 GMC Terrain Denali SUV, we can see that it gets new body color, front and rear fascias, rocker panels with chrome molding, a chrome grille, new headlamp and taillamp and dual chrome finish exhaust outlets for the V6 engine. And for the interior, it gets new Jet Black leather with contrast stitching along with leather wrapped steering wheel that is accented with mahogany wood accents. Noticeably is the illuminated lighting on the sill plates that is contrast to the red accent lighting on the instrument panel. In addition, 8-way adjustable power seats are provided to both driver and passenger seats.
“Denali is growing fast,” said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of GMC Marketing. “With seven different models, sales for this brand within a brand increased 79 percent from 2010 to 2011. With this in mind, the decision to create a more-upscale Terrain was an easy one.”
For the powertrain of the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali SUV, it comes with the new 3.6 liter V6 engine producing about 301 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque. And if you are one of those fuel misers, there is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder for your desire, but it won’t be called as “Denali”.
Front-wheel drive system is standard on both of the 4-cylinder and V6 engines, but you can opt for an all-wheel drive system for both engine options. However, the Terrain Denali model gets exclusive dual-flow dampers for a smoother ride and handling.
In the technology side, the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali comes standard with the IntelliLink infotainment system, which consisted of Bluetooth, internet apps such as Pandora and Stitcher and iPod connectivity. For peace of mind, it comes standard with forward collision alert, lane departure warning, and side blind zone and rear cross traffic alert.
The new 2013 GMC Terrain Denali SUV will make its debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show in the beginning of April 6th. Pricing and and availability of the 2013 GMC Terrain Denali will be announced closer to launch date.
