Update: 3/2/2010

Lexus finally unveiled photos of the final production model, Lexus CT 200h. The five-door compact CT 200h features the Lexus Hybrid System, which consists of a 1.8L VVT-i gasoline engine and an electric-motor powered by nickel-metal hydride batteries.

At the Geneva Motor Show, Lexus confirmed to AutoWeek that the Lexus CT 200h will be available in the United States also.

“It’s designed with Europe in mind, but it will be sold worldwide,” said Andy Pfeiffenberger, vice president of Lexus Europe.
The final production of the Lexus LF-Ch concept is near, and Lexus will debut it at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show as the new CT 200h car.  The CT 200h will be the first, and only, full hybrid vehicle in the premium compact segment. It features second generation Lexus Hybrid Drive technology to join with the RX 450h, GS 450h and LS 600h in the range of full-hybrid vehicles. Top picture is a glimpse of the tail light.

The new Lexus CT 200h will compete with soon-to-be luxury subcompact cars from Audi and BMW. No doubt that cars like these will be expensive ranging from $33,000 to $55,000, and it will appeal to the yuppies, wanna be tree hugger.

Press conference will be conducted by Mr. Andy Pfeiffenberger, Vice President Lexus Europe, and is scheduled for 16.45 on 2nd March, on Stand 4211 in Hall 4.
