Official press of the 2013 BMW X1 crossover has been leaked ahead of its official announcement at the 2012 New York Auto Show. As you can see the press release below, it is marked to be released on April 4th, which is the date of the NY Auto Show for the media.
Anyhow, the new 2013 BMW X1 crossover gets a few revisions here and there, which include a revised front fascia featuring new headlights and silver-accented bumper. The silver accent continues to the side-body sills and side-view mirrors. Optional is the new xenon lighting system that features new light rings found on the LED headlights. And on the rear end, it gets a revised bumper as well, which includes a new set of taillights.
As for the interior, the 2013 BMW X1 crossover gets a new driver-oriented center console along with a few chrome accents throughout the cabin to give a more premium feel. Other than that, the interior doesn’t change much from the last year model.
In the powertrain department, the 2013 BMW X1 crossover is equipped with either four-cylinder engine or six-cylinder engine. In the 2013 BMW X1 28i model, it features the new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 240 horsepower. If that is not enough power for you, there is also a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing about 300 horsepower, which is available in the X1 xDrive35i model.
So, how much is this going to cost you? The 2013 BMW X1 base model will have a price tag of $31,545 price tag, including the $895 destination charge. Moving up to the BMW xDrive28i model will cost you about $33,245, and the xDrive35i will start at $39,345. Reasonable? Well, that is relative question, but we do think so when compared with other crossovers in the market.
