To mark the introduction of the DS line in China later this year, which consists of the Citroën DS3, DS4 and DS5 cars, the company has created the Citroën Numero 9 sports hatchback concept for such an opening. The new Citroën Numero 9 sports hatchback concept will make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show later this month, and the manufacturer plans to make various production models from this concept model in the future.
The Citroën Numero 9 sports hatchback concept is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain producing about 295 horsepower on tap from both a gas engine and an electric motor. Citroën claims that the Citroën Numero 9 sports hatchback concept can travel up to 31 miles on electric alone and with CO2 emission of about 39 g/km.
While Citroën hasn’t divulged much info about the Numero 9 sports hatchback concept, however, it says that the concept model will be the launch pad design for the next three models in the line: a C-segment premium sedan, an SUV and a D-segment executive saloon.
