GM is now offering Recarco performance seats on select Cadillac models. Recaro seats were first exclusively offered on the 556 hp CTS-V high performance model. Now, the popularity of the option on the V-Series model made Cadillac to extend the option further into other select sedans. The Recaro 14-way adjustable seats are now available in limited quantity as a $2800 option on the Premium and Performance trim levels of the 2010 model Cadilac CTS Sport Sedans, and will be later available for the new 2011 CTS Coupe and CTS-V Coupe luxury sports cars by this summer.
The Recaro seats include adjustable back and thigh support for the driver and front-seat passenger, including a seat cushion extender, among the 14 total adjustable elements with French-stitched leather and microfiber suede inserts in the center sections of the cushions and seatbacks. Also, heating and cooling functions are added into the seats, which are not normally found in Recaro performance seats.
Recaro is the considered one of the world’s preeminent performance seating manufacturers, mainly exclusive on sports cars. The company now extending that offering into production auto seats, including those available in some of the world’s most prestigious high-performance cars.
