Volkswagen Passat gets the R-Line treatment in Europe

Volkwagen is making its Passat model more exciting with the introduction of the R-line treatment to it.  The company has just announced the R-line package will be available to both the Passat sedan and wagon in Europe.  It is much like saying that the R-line is similar to the M for BMW and AMG for Mercedes-Benz, but that is doubtful at this point.

No matters, VW is trying to make its image to be more sportier.  The Passat R-line models of the sedan and wagon look more sportier with upgraded suspension and a few pieces of aerodynamic parts, but no engine modifications at this point.  The new aero kit for the Passat R-Line includes sportier front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a rear spoiler.  To round out the aggressive look, new 17-inch alloy wheels along with a sport-tuned suspension are added.  And for the cabin, it gets new sports seats along with stainless steel trim and a sporty steering wheel.

According to Volswagen, the Passat R-Line model sells for €30,225 in Germany (about $39k USD), and it won’t be available in the U.S. just yet.
