The wagon is making a come back with the dead of the big SUVs in the U.S., and recently, we have seen quiet a few here in the U.S. Today, BMW has unveiled its latest 3 Series Sports Wagon, which will make its way to the U.S. market according to the company’s announcement.
As for now, the 2013 BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon is heading straight for the European market first this year as the BMW 328i, 330d, and 320d Touring models. However, BMW has planned for the 2013 BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon to arrive in the U.S. by spring of 2013. Don’t fret, the U.S. market still has the 3 Series wagon currently offered as the 328i model.
According to BMW, the new 2013 BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon is a bit larger than the current model, boasting 10 percent more in cargo space. It will be offered in four trim levels: Sport, Luxury, Modern, and M Sport Line.
The 2013 BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon comes with plenty of amenities and safety features, such as an infotainment center with iPod and iPhone connectivity, power tailgate with the optional Comfort Access package, BMW Apps, a full-color Head-Up Display, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, BMW Parking Assistant, Rear-view Camera with Top View, and the BMW Assist telematics service.
Passenger room is plenty as well in the 2013 BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon, which the rear seats can be folded down in three sections in a 40:20:40 split to help carry up to four adults and longer items at the same time.
Powertrain details for 2013 BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon in the U.S. along with the pricing, specifications and standard/optional equipment will be announced at a later date. Although we can expect it will be powered similarly to the current 3 Series model, which comes as a turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a V6 engine.
