lexus gs f 1 620x415 2012 Lexus GS F will be powered by LFA V10 engine

The Lexus GS-F sedan will arrive in 2013 gets a detuned LFA’s 4.8-litre V10 engine. This high performance Lexus GS-F sedan plans to take on the BMW M5 series. Really? First, it needs to challenge the Infiniti M or G series before taking on the champion. It doesn’t mean that if you slap on a bigger engine, you are good to go higher.

Lexus engineers are detuning the LFA’s 4.8L engine’s capacity to 4.6 litres, with estimated power down to 450bhp. The plan is to improve low-range torque even with the reduced power. The GS-F will become the most powerful sedan that ever comes out of Japan.

On the transmission side,  the Lexus GS-F will be fitted with a torque vectoring differential.  The torque vectoring differential actively control the amount of power delivered between the rear wheels, depends on the amount of traction senses in each wheel. Hence, it reduces spin out and fishtail.
