2013 Hennessey Camaro ZL1 HPE700 fully loaded with 700 hp


So you manage to get your hands on the new 2013 Camaro ZL1, and its power output straight out of the factory is not too shabby either. What if you could increase that power output even more? Consider yourself the lucky one, as Hennessey Performance shop is turning the heat in the 2013 Camaro ZL1 with its force-fed tuning packages.

The company believes there is always room for improvement in any sports car, and we even have seen Hennessey even tuned the McLaren supercar. As fast and powerful as the new 2013 Camaro ZL1 with its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 580 horsepower, Hennessey managed to boost it to the stratosphere with 1,000 horsepower. Yes, you’ve read correctly, 1,000 hp! Like always, the performance shop offers a variety of horsepower packages for the 2013 Camaro ZL1. There are four different power packages available as the HPE650, HPE700, HPE800 and HPE1000, with the numbers representing closely to the power output.

Today, we managed to get see the new 2013 Camaro ZL1 with the Hennessey’s HPE700 package. On paper, this package offers 707 horsepower at 6,300 rpm for the tuned V8 engine. However, on the dyno, it shows only 678 hp and 601 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels instead. You always loose about 10 percent of the final power output on a manual transmission due to gears and the drive-shaft.
