New York City meets Tesla Model S sedan


Tesla is vamping up its marketing on the Tesla Model S sedan, and the company has just released its latest video of the Model S sedan in action in New York City. The electric sedan Tesla was presented at the last Geneva Motor Show, and now is available for the market. And the last time we’ve heard, it is already sold out.

The Tesla Model S sedan is available in three different versions of different battery capacities. The base model is equipped with a 40-kWh battery pack that allows the car to have about 160 miles (257 km) of driving range before a recharge. The all-electric sedan can zip from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds while maximum speed is at 109 mph (177 km/h).

On the mid-range model of the Tesla Model S, it gets a 60-kWh battery pack, which allows up to 290 miles (370 km) of driving range. This particular model is a bit faster with 5.9 seconds from 0-60 mph. Finally is 85-kWh version, and it has a driving range of 300 miles (483 km). It has the fastest acceleration time of 4.4 seconds from 0-60 mph. Top speed is said to be around 129 mph. The last time we’ve heard, this model beats out the 2013 BMW M5 in a drag race.

The Tesla Model S sedan can be had with a starting price of $57,400. It comes with numerous luxury amenities in the interior, which include Alcantara and Nappa accents and a large LCD touch screen that lets you control your entertainment system.
