Hyundai Veloster Street Concept sups up for 2012 Australian Motor Show

The 2012 Australian International Motor Show will start from October 19th to 28th in Sydney, and Hyundai is supping up its Veloster hatchback for the show. The company has just released photos of its heavily modified Hyundai Veloster Street Concept ahead of the show, and we almost thought that it was dressing up for the SEMA Show instead.

The Hyundai Debuts Veloster Street Concept is painted with matte grey along with contrasting orange accents all around the body kit. The company then added large 18-inch Tenso wheels wrapped in 215/40/18 low profile tires. This exterior modification makes the Hyundai Debuts Veloster Street Concept one mean looking sports compact car. To finish of the exterior modification, there are the matt black roof spoiler and turbo-back twin exhausts.

“The Veloster offers the ideal platform for aftermarket interpretation and personalisation, and provides the opportunity to demonstrate the full potential of this affordable sports model,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia Marketing Director Oliver Mann. “Street Concept is an excellent example of the versatility of the brand and the potential for Hyundai to reach a broader audience.”

For the interior, it  receives some cosmetic changes such as new black leather seats with contrasting yellow accents, LED lighting, and a high-end audio system featuring large woofers and a powerful amp.

As for performance, the Hyundai Debuts Veloster Street Concept gets a turbocharged engine with a new exhaust system, intercooler, blow-off valve, and a performance air filter to increase power output. Even the chassis was upgraded with new front and rear sway bars, coil-over suspension along with drilled brake discs for the braking system.

Even though the Hyundai Veloster is an odd looking vehicle, the Veloster Street Concept will definitely make you feel like a racer when driving in one.
