We have seen the Blacktop Edition package first introduced on the 2012 Dodge Charger V6 sedan, and now the company is extending the package to the 2013 Avenger sedan, Challenger R/T coupe, and Charger R/T V8 sedan. The Blacktop Edition package will be available on these models by December of this year.
Starting with the 2013 Avenger sedan, the Blacktop Edition package adds a new black grille, tinted headlamp bezels, a black rear spoiler and 18-inch black aluminum wheels, of course, all in glossy galore. The optional Blacktop package is priced at about $595 on the SXT model, and can be combined with a variety of exterior paints including Black, Redline Red 2, Bright White, Tungsten Metallic and Billet Silver Metallic if you choose not to go all out in black. In addition, it can be combined with other options such as the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, premium audio system, and a navigation.
Next is the 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine. The Blacktop Edition package includes 20-inch gloss black wheels, blacked-out grille, blacked-out fuel door, and a matte graphite body stripe with red accents. In addition, Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, higher-performance brakes, a new steering ratio, mono-tube shock absorbers and three-mode stability control are all come as standard in the Super Track Pak. All of this adds an extra $1,995 to the invoice.
Lastly is the Charger sedan with an optional 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine, and its Blacktop Edition package includes similar items as the Challenger R/T, but is priced a bit cheaper at $1,795. The unique features on this Charger sedan are the Beats Audio (consists of 10 speakers, a subwoofer and 552-Watt amplifier) and a sport mode with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
The only available photos available of the Blacktop Edition models are for the Avenger sedan, but there is a video below that shows all three models, so check it out.
