Peugeot has taken a fresh look at its performance cars. It introduced a fresh design of Peugeot SR1 Concept at the Geneva Auto Show, which will likely be in its production model. The Peugeot SR1 Concept is probably the best design that came out of the French camp at the Geneva Motor Show this March.
The Peugeot SR1 Concept is a hybrid sports car with all-wheel drive and four wheel steering, which reminds me of the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR. The Peugeot SR1 Concept is packing with the HYbrid4 technology, which a 218 horsepower 1.6 liter THP 4-cylinder is mated to a 95 horsepower electric motor at the rear. The combined power output is 313 horsepower, not much for this high caliber sports car. But fuel economy on this Peugeot SR1 Concept is really good, with up to 48 miles per gallon.
If all goes well, and France and the rest of Europe didn’t get invaded by U.S., you can expect the production model in 2012.
