Last month at the SEMA show we were warned of a Lexus sports sedan, and today Toyota Motorsports GmbH has finally unveiled the super sedan, named the TMG Sports 650. As you can see, the ‘650″ moniker of Lexus LS-based sports car is show how much power it awesome 650 PS or 641 horsepower.
The Toyota Motorsports Lexus Sports 650 gets its power from the twin-turbo 5.0L V8 engine, which is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Like always, faster speed required more aerodynamic parts. The sports sedan is suited a hood air scoop, vented and flared body, which were all developed using TMG’s wind tunnels and testing at the Nürburgring in Germany.
The TMG Sport 650 sports sedan will make its debut at the Essen Motor Show in December. As we know, TMG is becoming the factory performance tuning department for Toyota, just like AMG is to Mercedes-Benz.
The Motorsports Lexus Sports 650 sports sedan has just unveiled at the 2012 LA Auto Show, and it is a heavy. The sports sedan weighs in at a hefty 4,519 pounds, but have no fear, it is equipped with a twin-turbocharged engine producing 564 lb-ft of torque to help blast it from 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph.
The good thing about the Motorsports Lexus Sports 650 sports sedan is that all the luxury amenities are intact, with only the changes to the inside are a new set of front sport seats and the use of Alcantara on the seat bolsters, steering wheel, automatic gearbox lever and on top of the dashboard.
