When it comes to variety, Dodge got many versions of its Dodge Challenger muscle car. The company is about to unleash the new 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline sports car to the 2013 Chicago Motor Show, and it got more muscle to back it up its looks.
Although the Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline last year got some styling enhancement to its muscular look, the sports car lacks the punch, which was available with a V6 engine only. Now the company is introducing the 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline equipped with a Hemi V8 engine producing 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, and that is something we can nod our heads to. Power is transferred to the wheels via a six-speed transmission. For cars with the five-speed automatic transmission are rated at 372 hp and 400 lb-ft, and also fitted Mopar t-handle shifter and steering wheel paddle shifters.
“Building on Challenger’s all-time sales record in 2012, the new Challenger R/T Redline fuses our iconic heritage with a one-of-a-kind customized appearance,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO – Dodge Brand. “Featuring unique body-side stripes and black chrome wheels with red accents, the new R/T Redline combines unmatched personalization with the unmistakable performance of the legendary HEMI V-8.”
Besides the big V8 engine, the 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline also got some styling enhancements as well, and these include new 20-inch black chrome wheels with painted red accents, side stripes with Redline lettering, low-restriction exhaust.
The 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline muscle car is offered in a variety of colors: Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Bright White and Pitch Black. It adds an extra $1,995 to the MSRP of the Challenger R/T (starting at $31,990) and the Challenger R/T Plus (starting at $33,990). But the Challenger R/T Plus gets extra features such as Nappa leather and Boston Acoustics speakers.
