Kia is no longer an economic car manufacturer, it is breaking out of the mold since the introduction of the Kia Optima two years ago. And now the company is breaking into the luxury B-segment market with its first Provo Hybrid Concept hatchback.
The new Provo Hybrid concept is even more appealing than the Cee’d and Pro_Cee’D GT versions we received last year. Kia is going after the big fish such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and Kia is not holding back on anything.
The Kia Provo Hybrid concept hatchback is equipped with an all-wheel drive system. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter T-GDi four-cylinder engine coupling to a 45-hp electric motor to produce a total of 246 horsepower. Power is transferred to the rear wheels with the help of a 7-speed dual-clutch DCT gearbox.
Expect to see the official debut of the new Kia Provo Hybrid concept hatchback today at the Geneva Motor Show.
