Honda has been touting with a Civic station wagon variant for quite the past three years, and now the company has just released images of a concept version on the Web. The new station wagon concept is called the Honda Civic Tourer, which will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show this week.
The new Honda Civic Tourer station wagon is a bit longer than the Civic hatchback, which will compete Volkswagon Golf Variant in Europe. If this European will be same as the U.S. version is another story; we have learned that the Honda Civic Tourer for the U.S. is slightly different, and it will be available in the fall of this year.
More details of the new Honda Civic Tourer concept wagon will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show tomorrow, so stay tuned.
Honda has just debuted the Civic Tourer Concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which shares a lot of the same features as the ninth generation Civic hatchback model which was launched in late 2011. It has a smooth design that combined with practicality and a lot of cargo space.
From what we can tell, the Honda Civic Tourer concept provides strong hints to the exterior design of the Civic Tourer production model which will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Honda has also confirmed that track testing of the new Civic Type R will start at the Nurburgring in 2013.
The production version of the Civic Tourer will be in dealerships in early 2014. Now, is it a hatchback or station wagon? We lean towards the latter.
