Hyundai has just released two teaser images of its upcoming Luxury Sports Coupe Concept HND-9, which will make its debut at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show. The new concept model represents its new fluid sculpture design, and set to compete with high sports cars.
At a glance, you can see that the Hyundai Luxury Sports Coupe Concept HND-9 looks a bit similar to the Lexus LF-LC Concept and Aston Martin, besides those design cues, the concept model is sophisticated in design details to provide a premium look. It features butterfly doors, spiral-shaped lines connected to the headlamp, dual twin muffler and uniquely designed head and rear lamps give the car a sleek futuristic look.
The Luxury Sports Coupe Concept HND-9 is been developed by Hyundai Motor Group’s R&D Center in Namyang, Korea. According to the company, power for this concept model will be provided by a direct-injection, turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine producing around 365 horsepower, and mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission for a rear-wheel drive configuration.
The HND-9 is set to make its world debut during Hyundai’s press conference on March 28 at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show. More details of the concept’s design and its advanced technologies will be revealed at the show.
Hyundai has just unveiled its latest HND-9 Sports Coupe Concept at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show. The design study is based on the company’s revision to its current Fluidic Sculpture language, which is intended to give us a look at what Hyundai has to offer in its future vehicles.
“HND-9 will give customers a glimpse of Hyundai’s future luxury sports coupe models,” said Suk-Geun Oh, head of Hyundai Design Center. “Representing an evolution of Hyundai’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design philosophy, the rear-wheel drive sports coupe concept balances high performance with a sophisticated image.” The concept was unveiled at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show.
As confirmed, all engine specifications are the same as mentioned above. Dimension wise, the HND-9 Sports Coupe Concept has a long hood and wheelbase, which has overall length of 4,695mm, width of 1,890mm and height of 1,340mm with a 2,860mm wheelbase. It features butterfly doors, sculptural rear combination lamps, and dual tailpipes the provide a sleek, futuristic appearance. So check out the new photos in the slideshow above.
