The 2013 Shanghai Auto Show is scheduled to open from April 21 to 29, and before the show, images of the new 2014 BMW X4 Concept crossover have surfaced on the world wide web. For the first time, these are the official photos of the BMW X4 crossover, which gives us a preview of the future of the BMW X family that will go on sale in 2014 in the U.S.
From the looks, the 2014 BMW X4 Concept crossover takes on design cues of the BMW Coupe. The exterior design is robust and elegance at the same time. It features a long bonet with short overhangs to bring out the athleticism and sportiness characteristics. The front-end styling of the BMW Concept X4 features BMW’s signature kidney grille and stylized twin circular head-lights.
The new crossover is measured at 183 inches in length, 75.4 inches in width, and a height of 63.9 inches along with a wheelbase of 110.6 inches. This helps accommodate the large set of alloy wheels. It has coupe-style roofline sweeps downwards and makes the car seem longer. And from the sides, the flared wheel arches provide a muscular look to the crossover.
There are vague technical details about the new 2014 BMW X4 Concept at this time, but according to BMW Chief Executive, Norbert Reithofer, it will be equipped with a mix of turbocharged four- and six-cylinder diesel and gasoline engines. Stay tuned as we have more technical details coming soon.
