Lamborghini has just revealed its new Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The new supercar is to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, of which only 100 units will be built for this celebration.
Donning in a yellow skin with a contrasting black color body kit, the Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition is looking very edgy, like a razor blade. Its black body kit consists of an aggressive front air splitter, side skirts, and a large diffuser in the rear. Finishing of the black contrasting accents is a set of painted black wheels. This body kit isn’t just for looks alone, according to the company, “Overall, handling stability at extreme speeds has been optimized without impacting drag characteristics due to an increase of more than 50% in the aerodynamic efficiency compared to the Aventador LP 700-4”.
The new Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition is equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine producing about 710 horsepower, which is 20 more horsepower than the standard version. The new supercar is said can sprint from 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and top out at a speed of 218 mph. Although not faster than the new Bugatti Veyron, but it ought to give you neck breaking acceleration and speed at any given time.
Like many Lamborghini luxury models, the Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition is treated with the same luxury features in the interior. There are two shades of Nero Ade combined with Terra Emilia or Giallo Quercus semi-aniline leather in a diamond pattern for customers to choose. The rest of the interior remains relatively the same as the standard version.
