Chevrolet Aveo RS Concept is planning to crash the Ford Fiesta party, which hogged all the publicity recently. We’ve seen the 2012 Chevrolet Aveo sedan, and it is one mean car not to be messed with. Now Chevrolet is planning to introduce the Chevrolet Aveo RS hatchback in 2011 to compete with the already hyped Ford Fiesta. The battle continues in the subcompact car segment, and this time, it is not in the Camaro vs. Mustang front line.

Beneath the hood, the Aveo RS Concept is pumped by the 138-hp, 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec four-cylinder, which will appear soon in the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. Power is tranferred through the wheels is a six-speed manual transmission. It’s likely that the base production Aveo will get a less powerful four cylinder Ecotech engine.

The Chevrolet Aveo RS Concept is a five-door hatchback. A lot of its styling cues are adopted from the Chevrolet Spark and Cruze, which includes dual-grille front bumper, round tail lamps and fender flares. The Chevrolet Aveo RS Concept has several sport features such as the 19-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels that cover the large Boracay Blue brake calipers, a roof spoiler, large air vent front bumper, motorcycle-inspired rear tail lamps, rear diffuser and chrome exhaust tips.

All and all, the Chevrolet Aveo RS Concept’s look is not cute, Tweety Bird like the Ford Fiesta. This is one mean Tasmania devil.
