Tata, the world’s cheapest car went up in flames with no apparent reason. Could this be another Pinto debacle? According to Indian news, after 45 minutes a man bought a car from a dealership in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, the Tata Nano burst into flames while driving off the lot on the way home. Luckily, the chauffeur and car owner made it out alive.
This is a third separate incident that Tata Motors had its cheap Nano car burst in flames. Maybe, the reason why it is so cheap because it is made out of cheap plastic and wood instead of metal? My apology, can’t help it, lol.
According to Sawant, the owner of the flame engulfed Tata Nano, “I have no idea what happened. A motorcycle rider overtook me and told me that the vehicle was on fire. The engine was behind me and I did not realize that the car was on fire.”
Oh, well, at least he and his driver were not hurt. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. Next time buy a real car buddy.
