The 2011 Infiniti Qx56 made its debut at the New York Auto today, and at the same time Infiniti announced the price today as well. In the time of crossover vehicles, Infiniti is not stopping anytime soon to release the full-size SUV, which is almost large as the Hummer H2 and the Cadillac Escalade EXT. It able to carry eight passengers with gas guzzling engine that Infiniti doesn’t want to mention the miles per gallon on this full-size SUV.
The QX56 is powered by the same 5.6-liter variable-timing, direct-injection V8 as the Infiniti M56, and produces about 400 horsepower. Towing capacity of the new QX56 is about 8,500 pounds on a new seven-speed automatic. Highway fuel economy is rated at 20 mpg without a load, so you can estimate that at around 14 miles per gallon in city.
The Infiniti QX56 suspension is state of the art. It includes a Hydraulic Body Motion Control system to reduce body roll by 40 percent. It uses an X-corner fluid distribution system that moves suspension fluid from the left front damper to the right rear, and vice-versa.
The Infiniti QX56 will go on sale this summer, starting at $56,700 for two-wheel drive and $59,800 for the Qx56 four-wheel drive. See press release below if you want more details.

Infiniti Announces U.S. Pricing on All-New 2011 QX56
– Next-Generation Luxury SUV Set For Early Summer Availability; Base Pricing Remains Unchanged From 2010 QX, Despite Major Enhancements Throughout –
In conjunction with the world debut of the all-new 2011 Infiniti QX Luxury Sport Utility Vehicle at a press conference at the New York International Auto Show today, Infiniti has announced pricing for the vehicle – which remains unchanged from the 2010 models. The 2011 QX is scheduled to go on sale at Infiniti retailers nationwide in early summer 2010.
Prices for the 2011 Infiniti QX start at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)* of $56,700 USD for the QX56 2WD and $59,800 USD for the QX56 4WD. These prices are the same as the previous generation QX, despite added content and features including:
- A new 400-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine with Infiniti’s VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) and Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG™) technologies – producing 25% more power and more than a 10% increase in fuel efficiency versus the previous design
- A new standard 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and Downshift Rev Matching (replaces the previous 5-speed automatic)
- Standard Around View™ Monitor, upgraded Bose® Premium Audio System and Automatic Temperature Control System
Other standard equipment includes 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, power sliding moonroof, power rear liftgate, leather-appointed seating, power folding and reclining 3rd row seats, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, Streaming Audio via Bluetooth®, Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System with XM NavTraffic® with Real-Time Traffic Information, XM NavWeather™ with Real-Time Weather and 3-day forecast (XM® subscription required, sold separately) and Zagat Survey® Restaurant Guide.
