We’ve seen the 2011 Mustang V6 versus the 2010 Camaro V6 versus the Dodge Challenger, but we haven’t seen these three pitted against the Hyundai Genesis. So, Motor Trend decided to make a throw-down between these cars. Who will be on top? Lets find out.
All three cars have almost identical horsepower rating from its V6 engines, but aside from that, they are very different in terms body construction and suspension tuning. From the testing, the 3.8-liter Hyundai Genesis V6 engine has the quickest response time and revs quickly. Track numbers of the Hyundai Genesis revealed a zero to 60 mph sprint in just 5.4 seconds and a quarter-mile run of 14.2 at 99.2 mph, a bit slower than the 2011 Mustang V6.
According to Motor Trend, the Hyundai Genesis came out on top simply because it feels more like a sports car than the rest. Hmm… we may have a different opinion about that. You may need to take Motor Trend’s opinion with a grain of salt.
So basically, the other three cars are just too darn heavy to feel like a sports car. If you have driven in the new Camaro or Mustang, this is not the case, these cars are as nimble as it feels powerful. See the video below for yourself.
The current starting price is $22,550 for the basic model of the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, at $25,780 is you want the camber bolts, and the top-of-the-line Track Package will cost you about $31,280.
