McLaren boss called Bugatti Veyron as “a piece of junk”

The McLaren boss, Ron Dennis, was pissed and called the Bugatti Veyron as “a piece of junk”. He even said that the race between the Bugatti and McLaren F1 was staged by Top Gear, which many people have watched the show and come to believe that the Bugatti Veyron was faster the McLaren F1.

When you won so many Formula One World Championship titles like Ron Dennis, people listen when you speak your mind about speed matters. Ron Dennis is the executive chairman and part owner of the McLaren Group, and he has a reputation for his outspoken opinion on car matters. This time he is not standing back any longer to let the Bugatti Veyron has its victory parade.

Dennis called the Veyron as a “piece of junk” and “pig ugly” during an interview with a business journalist from the United Arab Emirates. Although the Bugatti weighs like a yacht with a monster 1000-hp engine on its back, it is by no mean a piece of junk. But “pig ugly”? Hmm….come to think of it, the Bugatti Veyron does look like a pig with its big open nostril and rounded rear end.

The F1 champion abruptly elaborated that the race was staged by Top Gear between the Bugatti Veyron and McLaren F1 in Abu Dhabi was exactly that… staged. According to Ron Dennis, the McLaren had beat the Bugatti on every run, and the video footage from Top Gear was edited to make it seem like the Bugatti Veyron was the quicker one. Top Gear show is edited? What? This is absurd, not.

From the specs of both cars and the video, we do think that the McLaren F1 is faster than the Bugatti Veyron. Even with 1000-hp and given that the Bugatti weighs about 4,000+ pounds, there is no way the Bugatti Veyron could catch up that fast and out run by a long distance from a car like the McLaren F1. So, the video was edited (but of course) and the race was staged (we kind of suspected at the beginning when it came out last year.)

Watch the video below for yourself to see if it was staged or not.
