Toyota is increasing pricing of its anticipated FT-86 sporty coupe even if it is not out in the market yet. The initial base model offering of the the Toyota was about $20,000, but now that will be changed to $23,000 instead, as reported by Autocar. And the top model of the Toyota FT-86 will be around $26,000. Ouch! Not so much for the affordable sporty car for the masses as Toyota touted earlier.
Autocar also reports that Toyota sports has increased the targeted FT-86 age group from the 30s to the 40s. We are pretty sure this is going to disappoint a lot of the Toyota FT-86 enthusiasts. Or you can wait for the nearly identical Subaru version, STI RWD Coupe, which will be out at the same time also. Hopefully, the Subaru version is cheaper.
