There may be a possibility of an Infiniti M Coupe on the horizon. According to Edmunds-Inside Line, Nissan executives have discussed the expansion of the 2011 Infiniti M lineup with offering of the sedan, coupe, and convertible versions. Both BMW and Mercedes offered their cars in these versions, to stay competitive, Infiniti will need to have these offerings also.
Infiniti debuted the Essence Concept car at the Geneva International Auto Show last year, and it is likely that the Infiniti M Coupe will draw on the Essence’s design cues. What you see in these pictures are the computer renderings of the future design of the M coupe, which includes B-pillar and front fender side vents much like the Essence.
In the powertrain department, the Infiniti M Coupe could be offered in both V6 and V8 egines. The current Infiniti M56 sedan already comes with a 420-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine at a price tag of $58,000.
To stay successful in the Infiniti lineup, it is likely that the Infiniti M Coupe will make to production. We’ll probably see it in 2012.
